My friend has even told her kids to do anything, even break a window if necessary, to avoid being v@xed at school.

Smart mum.

Speed dial on the children's cell phone would help. (Most kids have one.)

You'd think a child's firm but CALM "You need to call my PARENTS. I'm not supposed to get any jabs AT SCHOOL" would suffice however those 2 cases linked proves that to be a hard no.

makes me wonder how many times this happened to one or any of my daughters or son when they went to the catholic school down the street and i never even knew. the word voluntary pops up in my mind here - gotta say NO. Just like at Costco the other day. all the shoppers lining up to scan their membership card at the door now for entrance into the beast. happily i said No and walked in. like your child just said NO

"makes me wonder"... Yep eh?

FYI: I attended a "Catholic School" down the street" from the early 60's until the early 70's. No shots were administered "at school" in those days. Only corporal punishment. With those wooden rulers with the thin metal bands that sliced right through the tender young skin on the inside of hands. And "the strap" of course... as well as other totally unacceptable physical hurt and psychological shaming.

Back in my day though? You received your polio and smallpox vaccines at the doctor's office (He had an ashtray full of cigarette butts on his desk and smoked while he took care of business) and that was the end of that. From my recollection. (My left arm still bears my "bubble" scar. Duly "saved from the pox".)

And Bev: good for you girl! Wtf are they gonna do if you DON'T scan your "Costco Passport"?? Arrest you? (Apparently not!!)

Oh yeah. I don't have a Costco card but I've been mad as hell for over 50 years now. As you can tell. I'm a cranky Canadian crone and I'm not gonna take it any more.

Every now and then I read something that triggers me. Stirs an unpleasant memory and off I go. Sometimes I stack my written rants. Mostly: I don't.

Just gotta get it off my chest. 😉

I have a ton of "unpublished" memories. 🤣🤣🤣

Laugh until you cry Bev, or spew until spent. (Otherwise you might have an aneurysm.)
