I would be really choked at the media if I were his family. Perry died and every obit talked about his drug usage. Very easy to assume he ODed. Very easy. Well into each obit it was slipped in he had been clean and sober for three years. Imagine. Your brother died. He previously had drug and alcohol problems. And everyone writes as if that is what killed him. I have had relatives kick stuff. I was proud. It is tough to do. And to have everyone imply otherwise would really irk me.
I regret being pressured initially to not follow my gut instincts. The more I am learning, I am amazed at how crazy things really are.
